How does fee pass-through work?
On both plans, you can enable fee pass-through at checkout. When enabled, customers see the base price ($299 tandem) plus a 6% platform fee broken out transparently at checkout. On the free plan, you receive the full $299 (minus Stripe processing) and the customer pays the 6% fee. On the monthly plan, the customer pays 6%, EZDZ collects 3%, and you keep the remaining 3% to offset your Stripe processing fees, netting you essentially full list price. This keeps your advertised pricing clean and protects your margins.
What if I don't want to pass fees to customers?
That's totally fine! You can choose to absorb the platform fees to keep your checkout simpler. Many dropzones start by absorbing fees, then switch to pass-through after seeing how much it saves. You can toggle this setting on/off anytime in your dashboard.
When should I upgrade to the monthly plan?
The monthly plan makes sense when you're doing enough volume that saving 3% per transaction (6% on free plan vs 3% on monthly plan) covers the $1,499 monthly cost. At high volumes with fee pass-through enabled, the remaining 3% offsets your Stripe processing fees, netting you essentially full list price.
